Hot Off the Easel: This Gift I've Been Given

New painting just finished tonight!

Untitled (for now) 30"x30" Acrylic on Canvas

I see a horse charging into the light carrying two figures. The figure at the front stretches their arms out reaching and praising for glory. The second figure stares out in amazement and awe at the beauty ahead. I also see a large face or figure at the left of the piece which I view as creator, God, who guides these prayer warriors to him. Forgiveness, salvation, peace and light. Heaven.

These "Life Visions" I have been given amaze even me. I am guided to place the paint onto the canvas almost blindly. I don't know how I know, but I just know when I'm done. Then I step back and weep at what I have been given. What a gift indeed! Thanks to God who has taken over this body.

Hot Off the Easel for March 2012

Spring has sprung early this year! Unbelievably where I live, the trees have already bloomed and grown leaves. The flowers are growing almost as rapidly as the grass. The pollen count is over-the-top bringing with it those wonderful seasonal allergies . . . Ah-chew!

I have been in the studio working hard to get ready for this glorious season. My paintings are pollen free so no need for sneezes . . . just sunny breezes!

Holiday Orders and Commissions Update

Let the shopping begin! Now that we have given thanks and eaten our turkey (for those who celebrate Thanksgiving), it is now time to think about all those special people in our lives that we want to shower with Christmas gifts! I LOVE this time of year. Not only do I celebrate our savior being born, but it is the time of year that my wonderful fans, family and friends, help me spread my art all over the world! I have lots of wonderful items already made and listed on the website, in my Etsy store, at Fine Art America, and NOW at RedBubble!

I am currently working on new jewelry pieces for my "Gifted Treasures" and "Spirit Jewelry" collections.

I have new paintings listed on the website and some on the easel that will be finished soon.

Meet this year's romantic beauty, "Daisy in Leather and Lace". She is done on a shatterproof copper bulb with a beautiful organza wired ribbon and accented with a faux leather textured ribbon trimmed in chenille. She is signed on the back with daisies. Only 4 will be made and each one slightly different, since they are hand painted after all! View and purchase here.

Renewal and Reservations

"Soaring Tree 2"

Renewal best describes my mood right now. I have been taking a long deserved break the past few months to try and renew my body, my mind, my spirit and my house!

I have been mending my body and devoting energy and prayer towards healing myself physically.

I have been mending my mind by focusing and organizing my creative process. Also praying for understanding and stability.

I have been mending my spirit through prayer and God's guidance.


And, well, I have been cleaning out my house and minimizing the chaos that I live in!

 It doesn't really sound like I have taken a break, but as you know, I am never idle. My creative brain will not allow that. I think it would scare me if it did - ha!

I am so close to feeling myself again. Maybe even better than the usual me! Wouldn't that be great? I have made lots of wonderful sketches and have lots of new projects lined up to keep me busy for the rest of the year now. I can't wait to share all of my new art with you!
