One Tiny Artist's Painting Vision Part 2

I see myself as this tiny thread in the whole big scheme of things. A thread that is crucial because I know God has given me a purpose. This purpose drives me to paint, think, write, create and loose my mind sometimes! I hope that no matter how tiny I feel, I can get across the message anyway. You see, I'm shy and vulnerable here showing all that I do. I am more comfortable in the corner painting quietly and not bothering you. My nudges are strong and they drive me to share anyway. So please know that I am not ever meaning to be boastful. I am being guided to show you what He shows me. How beautiful and wonderful it is!! It is so very awesome and I hope you can see it too! ~Denice

Stage One Painting Two: Untitled for now, 8"x20", 2 of 3 triptych
Stage One Painting Three: Untitled for now, 8"x20", 3 of 3 triptych

Here are the other 2 paintings that go along with the 20"x60" piece. This is how it looks when I have the under painting done. As it is drying, I step back and sometimes walk away. I begin to see images appearing within the brushstrokes, light and dark tones, etc. Now comes Stage Two . . . You can view all three paintings at Stage 1 on the website HERE.

Still to come: Images and videos from the studio. I will show you more of how I paint. My easel, placement of canvas, palette and so much more! I hope you enjoy the transformation as it unfolds for this new series.

XOXO,
Denice

One Tiny Artist's Painting Vision

"I am one tiny artist. The kind of artist who paints quietly and humbly. Afraid of everything as it relates to the world. Afraid of nothing within my soul where the spirit lives wanting to soar and shine. I am encouraged, beaten down, scarred and hopeful. My faith brings me here. Here is where He wants me to be. To show you what He shows me."  ~ Denice

The Transformation Begins!

I lay paint down onto the canvas. My sponge is coated with whatever color is down on my palette, wet and thick like rainbow butter. I am one tiny artist standing at my easel trying to ignore the white canvas that stares back at me. If I look at it and think about it too much, I will be overwhelmed with all the ideas and possibilities that toss and turn in my mind constantly. "I am not in control!" I frantically mash, brush, squeeze paint from the sponge to the canvas. I cover it rather quickly with strokes going in all directions and in all motion. Now I'm done? Not really. Once the white is gone, now comes the "magic" or "miracle" of it all for me to see. For YOU to see!

Fun Creative Visions

"Passion Flower 1" Mixed Media

I'm in need of some creative play! What do you do for fun? Anything that you feel is fun, exciting, energizing or that you feel passionate about is your creative play. My true passion is painting and it is where I find my comfort spot, if you will. I also like fashion! So a quick shopping trip might be my creative play today. Sometimes I just need to explore my world and look around and sometimes I might find something I "need" to buy. It all depends on where my free spirit is guided.

Yesterday, my creative play was cleaning out a nook in my closet. Just having a clean spot gave me a feeling of progress and hope that I will get the whole job done soon! It's just too overwhelming to look at the task all at once, which I do a lot of and have to pull myself back in. Whew!

I hope you make time for creative play! Even if working equations, watching a movie, reading a book or working in the garden is what you enjoy, you are being creative. I encourage you to find your true passion in life. Think about what you most enjoy and that is where you can escape to in your mind until you find time to actually do it. I guess I'm saying that no matter what age you are or where you are in life you should still dream and keep your eye on that vision you may have had as a child.

I'm off to create more life visions!

XOXO,
Denice
